Oreymi Dan-Princewill

Co-Founder, Princewill PR

Before Georgetown Law, Oreymi Dan-Princewill was Executive Editor and co-founder of The Liberato, Howard University's first political review, a nonpartisan quarterly giving students a platform to analyse policy, governance, and political discourse across the spectrum, with a particular lens on how international relations and policy affect the African diaspora.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Howard with a degree in Economics, minoring in English and Political Science, then earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2023 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2024. Along the way: macroeconomic policy exposure at the International Monetary Fund, then summer associate positions at Holland & Knight in Houston and Norton Rose Fulbright.

She has written for The Hip Hop African, covering African diaspora music culture, and published The Grace Within Journal For Women in 2023, a 90-day guided journal built around healing, self-love, manifestation, gratitude, and mindfulness, interspersed with therapeutic scripture. She has also documented her own Georgetown Law journey on YouTube to nearly 40,000 views.

Selected Poetry

Beyond legal and editorial work, Oreymi writes poetry, some of it featured by @thebeautyoflagos.

Find me by the swing set never swinging

Sometimes singing, sometimes writing, always speaking

I come from red sand roads older than patriarchy

from ackee and saltfish and coco bread

You can't beat or pound me.

You didn't root or found me.

— from 'Red Roads & Red Veins,' Oreymi Dan-Princewill
